These Bonus Terms apply to all BetCity promotions together with any applicable PTC published on the relevant promotion page.

Where any conflict exists between these Bonus Terms and a specific PTC, the PTC will apply to the extent necessary to resolve the conflict.

Unresolved disputes may be referred to the Mpumalanga Economic Regulator (MER).

Use of the BetCity platform remains subject to all BetCity Terms, Rules and Policies.

BetCity promotions may include:

• Competitions and prize draws;
• Tournaments and leaderboards;
• Loyalty and VIP rewards; and

• Push notifications; or

2.1 Promoter

All promotions are operated by BetCity (Pty) Ltd under MER Licence No. 9-2-1-09955.

2.2 Promotion Period

Each promotion is valid only during the specified Promotion Period in the applicable PTC.

BetCity may suspend, amend or end promotions earlier where required by operational or regulatory requirements.

3.1 Participation Restrictions

Unless otherwise stated:

• Promotions are limited to one entry per Player;
• Certain offers may only apply to selected Players or qualifying categories.

3.2 Non-Transferable Offers

Promotion offers are intended only for the selected recipient or qualifying category and may not be transferred between Players.

To participate in a BetCity promotion, Players must:

4.1 New Player Promotions

Welcome or Sign-Up offers apply only to Players who have never previously opened and funded a BetCity account.

4.2 Verification

• ID number;
• Mobile number;
• Email address;

5.1 Voluntary Participation

Participation in promotions is entirely voluntary.

5.2 Entry Requirements

Players must follow the instructions contained in the relevant promotion communication or PTC.

5.3 Single Entry

Unless otherwise stated, promotions may only be entered once per Player.

The following persons may not participate:

• BetCity directors, employees, consultants, agents and service providers;
• Persons directly connected to BetCity operations;
• Immediate family members, spouses, life partners or business partners of the above.

6.1 Disqualification

BetCity may remove bonuses, prizes or winnings awarded to non-qualifying Players.

6.2 Misconduct

BetCity may disqualify any Player who:

• Cheats or manipulates promotions;
• Breaches BetCity Terms;
• Abuses promotional mechanics; or
• Acts in a manner damaging to BetCity or associated brands.

7.1 Minimum Deposits

Certain promotions require a minimum qualifying deposit as specified in the applicable PTC.

7.2 No Inter-Account Transfers

Transfers between Player Accounts do not qualify as deposits for promotional purposes.

8.1 Release Requirements

Certain bonuses require wagering requirements or release conditions before bonus funds or winnings become withdrawable.

Requirements are set out in the applicable PTC.

8.2 Early Withdrawal Forfeiture

Where Players withdraw before meeting wagering requirements:

• Bonus balances are forfeited; and
• Associated winnings may be removed.

BetCity may deduct forfeited amounts directly from the Player Account.

Withdrawing before completing wagering requirements may result in full bonus forfeiture.

8.3 Loyalty Points

Only loyalty points earned during the Promotion Period count unless otherwise stated.

Redeemed or transferred points may not be reclaimed.

9.1 Irregular Play Monitoring

BetCity monitors for irregular, abusive or exploitative bonus activity, including:

• Hedge betting;
• Equal or low-risk wagering;
• Large wagering spikes followed by substantial reductions in stake size; and
• Bonus use intended solely for withdrawal advantage.

Where abuse is identified, BetCity may:

• Restrict withdrawals;
• Remove bonuses;
• Withhold winnings; or
• Suspend promotional access.

9.2 Duplicate Bonus Credits

Where duplicate or incorrect bonus payments are made in error, BetCity reserves the right to recover those amounts.

All bonuses are offered at BetCity’s sole discretion.

BetCity may amend or remove bonus eligibility criteria at any time.

11.1 Acceptance of Prizes

Prizes must be accepted as awarded unless BetCity elects to offer an alternative.

BetCity may substitute prizes with alternatives of similar value where necessary.

11.2 Prize Delivery

Cash prizes are paid into the Player Account within the timeframe stated in the applicable PTC.

BetCity may require:

• Proof of identity;
• Signed acknowledgements; or
• Collection of prizes where delivery is impractical.

If a Winner cannot be contacted within 15 days, BetCity may conduct a redraw.

11.3 Prize Eligibility

BetCity may refuse or recover prizes where:

• A Winner is not legally entitled to receive the prize; or
• The Winner is disqualified under these Terms.

11.4 Competition Forfeiture

Players unable or unwilling to progress in tournaments, competitions or leagues forfeit associated prizes and advancement rights.

All prize entitlements are personal and non-transferable.

12.1 Taxes & Costs

Winners remain responsible for:

• Taxes;
• Travel costs;
• Insurance;
• Licensing;
• Visa or passport costs; and
• Any additional expenses linked to prize use.

12.2 Event & Experience Prizes

Event, travel or experience prizes remain subject to:

• Third-party provider terms;
• Booking conditions; and
• Availability restrictions.

BetCity is not responsible for third-party performance or insurance relating to these prizes.

12.3 Third-Party Branding

References to third-party brands do not imply endorsement or affiliation.

Prize images are illustrative only.

12.4 Prize Disclaimer

Except where required by law, BetCity provides no warranties regarding prizes, including suitability or fitness for purpose.

Prize draw winners are selected randomly from all qualifying entries.

Certified RNG systems may be used where applicable.

BetCity processes personal information in accordance with the BetCity Privacy Policy.

14.1 Data & Publicity Consent

By participating in promotions, Players agree that BetCity may:

• Process personal information for promotion administration;
• Send promotion-related communication; and
• Use names or photographs for reasonable promotional purposes, subject to applicable rights.

14.2 Conduct at Events

Players attending BetCity events may not:

• Promote competing gambling brands; or
• Behave in a manner damaging to BetCity’s reputation.

BetCity reserves the right to remove non-compliant attendees.

14.3 Intellectual Property

• Be original work;
• Not infringe third-party rights.

15.1 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BetCity accepts no liability relating to:

15.2 Technical Failures

• System failures;

16.1 Right to Modify

• Errors occur;
• Operational issues arise; or
• Regulatory authorities require changes.

16.2 Continued Participation

Continued participation following updates constitutes acceptance of revised promotional terms.

17.1 Non-Assignment

Players may not transfer rights or obligations under these Bonus Terms.

17.2 Third-Party Rights

No third party may enforce these Terms against BetCity.

17.3 No Waiver

Failure by BetCity to enforce any provision does not waive that right.

17.4 Severability

If any provision becomes unenforceable, remaining provisions remain valid.

17.5 Final Decisions

BetCity decisions on promotional matters are final.

Unresolved disputes may be referred to the MER.

17.6 Governing Law

These Bonus Terms are governed by South African law.

17.7 Language

Where translated versions exist, the English version prevails.

This section applies to any BetCity promotion offering a deposit match bonus and/or free spins (a “Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer”). It applies in addition to the other sections of these Bonus Terms, including Eligibility, Excluded and Unauthorised Persons, Bonus Payments and Fair Use, Bonus Abuse Policy, Publicity and Intellectual Property, and General Provisions.

The qualifying deposit amount, match percentage, maximum bonus amount, wagering multiple, qualifying free spins game, and spin values for each Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer are set out in the applicable PTC and must be read together with this section.

18.1 Deposit Match – Sport

Where an Offer includes a Sport deposit match, the qualifying deposit is matched at the percentage stated in the applicable PTC, up to the maximum bonus stated in that PTC. The bonus must be wagered the number of times stated in the applicable PTC, at or above any minimum odds stated, before it becomes withdrawable. Unless the PTC states otherwise, only settled bets placed on pre-match and in-play sports markets count towards the wagering requirement.

18.2 Deposit Match – Casino

Where an Offer includes a Casino deposit match, the qualifying deposit is matched at the percentage stated in the applicable PTC, up to the maximum bonus stated in that PTC, and may include free spins as stated in the PTC. The deposit plus bonus must be wagered the number of times stated in the applicable PTC, across the game categories specified for that Offer, before it becomes withdrawable.

18.3 Free Spins

Where an Offer includes free spins, the applicable PTC will specify the qualifying game, the number of spins, and the spin value, which may vary according to deposit amount. Unless the applicable PTC states that a wagering requirement applies to free spin winnings, no wagering requirement applies to funds won from free spins.

18.4 Wagering Window and Forfeiture

Unless a different period is stated in the applicable PTC, wagering requirements for a Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer must be completed within 7 days of the bonus being credited. Any bonus balance for which the wagering requirement has not been met within this period is forfeited. Withdrawing, or cancelling the bonus, before the wagering requirement is met results in forfeiture of the bonus amount and any related winnings, as set out in Section 8 (Wagering Requirements and Withdrawals).

18.5 Winnings Caps

Unless the applicable PTC states otherwise, winnings derived from the bonus funds of a Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer are capped at 5 times the qualifying deposit, to a maximum of R15,000, for Sport and Casino Offers respectively.

18.6 Game Contribution to Wagering

Unless the applicable PTC states otherwise, casino games contribute to the wagering requirement of a Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer as follows:

18.7 Combinability

Unless expressly stated in the applicable PTC, a Deposit Match/Free Spins Offer cannot be combined with any other new-customer or registration offer.
